The foundation has achieved significant milestones through its dedicated efforts in healthcare and
environmental sustainability:
1. Health Screening Projects
We have conducted two major health screening projects, providing free healthcare services to over
400 people in Anum Asamankese. These screenings included examinations related to dental, ENT, eyes,
ears, nose, throat, and lungs. Specialized doctors and CHP nurses supported the entire screening
process, which included tests for blood pressure, Hepatitis, malaria, breast examination, blood pressure,
and sugar levels. These projects led to early detection of health conditions, timely treatment, improved
health outcomes, and empowered individuals to take charge of their health.
2. Tree Planting Project
- In addition to health initiatives, we have also embarked on a tree planting project to promote
environmental sustainability within the community.
These projects saw active participation from key stakeholders, including the Rotary Club, G2 Medical Lab
Services, Global Brigades, Focus Group Leaders, Resident Chiefs, the Municipal Assembly representative,
and prominent media houses such as UTV and various radio stations. This collaborative effort ensured a
comprehensive and impactful health screening initiative.
Menstrual Hygiene Management and Support for Orphanages
At the AHENENANAHENE ANSONG FOUNDATION, we are deeply committed to addressing health issues,
including the pressing issue of menstrual hygiene management among school-aged girls and supporting
vulnerable populations such as orphanages. It deeply saddens us to witness countless young girls
experience embarrassing moments and uncomfortable situations due to the lack of access to sanitary
pads. Moreover, the challenges faced by orphanages in meeting the basic needs of their residents are a
constant reminder of the urgent need for this compassionate initiative.
